From 19 to 21 November, the International Whisky Festival was supposed to take place in The Hague. As festival releases, the organisers had two different Kilchoman single casks bottled: an STR cask finish and one of the still extremely rare mezcal cask finishings. However, due to the stricter Corona regulations in the Netherlands, the festival had to be cancelled at short notice.
The Kilchoman bottlings were already sold online on the organiser’s website before the festival. The whisky listed here has been matured in a fresh ex-bourbon barrel for over 8 years before being finished in an STR cask (a shaved, re-charred and toasted red wine hogshead) for 7 months.
