At the Kilchoman Open Day on 29 May 2014, Kilchoman presented a world first with the “Fèis Ìle 2014 Release”: a Kilchoman Fino Sherry Cask Finish. The whisky, which was distilled on 1 July 2009, was initially matured for a good 4 years in two fresh bourbon barrels and was then finished for 3 months in a Fino Sherry Butt. The 525 bottles were bottled at cask strength on 20.5.2014, the retail price was £ 79.50. All bottles were sold out on the first day.
