It is Kilchoman’s stated policy not to sell whiskies to independent bottlers. Over the years, exceptions have been made only rarely, the first independent bottling of a Kilchoman whisky was the release listed here for the well-known Elements of Islay series of Speciality Drinks Ltd (later renamed Elixir Distillers) from 2011. In the series, the individual Islay distilleries are marked with fictitious element abbreviations based on the periodic table of the elements – for Kilchoman Kh.

Unfortunately, the bottler is very sparing with information about the individual releases. Thus, apart from the age and alcohol strength, no further details are known.
