On Monday, July 15, 2013, the 3rd edition of the annual limited 100% Islay release was released at an RRP of £59.95. As is well known, Kilchoman refers to whiskies that are produced from farm-grown barley and in which all production steps “from barley to botttle” take place on site as 100% Islay. It is a vatting of four and five year old 1st fill ex-bourbon barrels and therefore around one year older than the second 100% Islay release.

Note: On the back of the box, the words “Over 4 years in a combination of fresh and refill bourbon barrels” are incorrectly indicated. The layout artist has obviously kept the previous year’s sentence and only changed the age indication from 3 to 4 years.
