The starting point for this bottling was a tasting by Peter Wills in 2017 as part of the Kilchoman West Japan Tour with bartenders from the Shikoku region in the well-known Shamrock Bar in Takamatsu. The tasting was a great success and the bartenders’ opinions on the different Kilchoman bottlings were collected. The owner of the Shamrock Bar then took it upon himself to organise the bottling of a Kilchoman single cask that most matched the preferences of the participants. This bottling was then released in Japan at the end of 2018.

It was a fresh ex-bourbon barrel in which the 50 ppm peated whisky was matured for seven years.
