In September 2022, the French spirits retailer and Kilchoman importer La Maison Du Whisky published a printed catalogue of exclusive LMDW bottlings of whisky, rum and other spirits under the title Antipodes, as it has done every autumn for several years.
These included four new Kilchoman single cask bottlings. In addition to an almost 12-year-old 100% Islay bourbon barrel and an almost 11-year-old “normal” bourbon barrel, a full maturation in rum and cognac casks was offered for the first time worldwide. Previous Kilchoman bottlings of these cask types were exclusively finishes.

The whisky listed here was matured for almost eleven years in a fresh ex-Buffalo Trace bourbon barrel.
