Kilchoman 100% Islay 3rd Edition announced

Kilchoman today announced the release of the 3rd edition of the annual limited 100% Islay release. Kilchoman famously refers to whiskies made from farm-grown barley as 100% Islay, with all stages of production “from barley to botttle” taking place on site.

This year’s 3rd edition had a longer maturation period than the 2nd edition and was created from whiskies matured in four and five year old fresh bourbon barrels. Only 10,000 bottles of this limited edition will be available worldwide.

With a delicate and floral nose of cooked yellow fruits and pear drops, the peat smoke is initially evident on the palate, complemented by a long, sweet and peaty finish.

The 100% Islay 3rd Edition will be available from Monday 15 July at an RRP of £59.95.
