In October 2024, the French spirits retailer and Kilchoman importer La Maison Du Whisky published a catalogue of exclusive LMDW bottlings of whisky, rum and other spirits under the title Foundations, as it has done every autumn for several years.
These included three new Kilchoman single cask bottlings. In addition to ‘Legacy’ an 11-year-old full maturation in a bourbon cask listed here, there was also a 9-year-old 100% Islay bourbon cask bottling under the name ‘Autonomy’ and a 6-year-old full maturation in an STR cask (shaved, toasted and re-charred ex-red wine cask) called ‘Exploration’.
