Kilchoman Bourbon Matured Single Cask 940/2017 – The Founder´s Choice – Japan Exclusive

In 2023, the team from Kilchoman’s Japanese importer, Whisk-e Ltd, visited the distillery on Islay once again. During this visit, they tasted a number of cask samples selected by Kilchoman founder Anthony Wills and production director Robin Bignal. Since cask 640/2017 was the favorite of the Japanese guests, Anthony Wills selected it as the next Japan Exclusive bottling, which explains the name Founder’s Choice.

The 2017 distilled whisky matured for six and a half years in a fresh ex-Bourbon barrel and was released in Japan in the summer of 2024.
