Bottle from Kilchoman Cask No. 07/2005 sold at auction

Three times in Kilchoman’s history, a bottle has been taken from the first cask of the distillery, numbered 01/2005, and auctioned for a good cause.

Now, another bottle from the very early history of Kilchoman has been auctioned on the French auction site Fine Spirits Auction, which Kilchoman had made available to support the organisations Foundation GoodPlanet and Foundation Prince Albert II de Monaco. This time, cask no. 07/2005 was chosen, the last cask from the first year of production, also a bourbon barrel and now over 18 years old.

After New Spirit had flowed out of the Kilchoman stills for the first time on 9 November 2005, the first seven casks in the history of the distillery were filled on 14 December 2005.

The bottle, packed in an attractive wooden box and accompanied by a certificate from Kilchoman founder Anthony Wills, fetched €1050 at the auction on 4 October.
