Kilchoman 10 yo Bourbon Single Cask 203/2011 [Online Shop Exclusive]
With the reopening of the visitor centre, which was temporarily closed for Corona reasons, Kilchoman also started bottling new Distillery Exclusive releases, i.e. single cask releases that can only be purchased at the Kilchoman visitor centre. Kilchoman fans who can’t or don’t want to go to Islay at the moment because of the still rather restrictive travel conditions will certainly be very pleased that Kilchoman has not discontinued the series of online shop exclusive releases introduced as a substitute in COVID times, but continues them.
The latest testimony to this is the recently released bottling of Bourbon Single Cask No. 203/2011, which had already met with a very positive response at the “Through the Ages” online tasting at this year’s Fèis Ìle.
Distilled on 21 April 2011, the whisky has been matured in a fresh bourbon barrel for over 10 years before being bottled on 10 July 2021 at an alcohol strength of 53.1%. The price for a bottle is £83.25 (plus VAT and shipping).
