Kilchoman 16 yo Private Cask 127/2007 for Tara Spirits

The Munich shop Tara Spirits (formerly: Whisk(e)y Shop Tara) has now released another Kilchoman Private Cask from Frederick Wolff’s stock. In March 2023, the whisky retailer Smoke & Whisky from Starnberg released a 15-year-old refill bourbon cask (No. 131/2007) from him; the sister cask now released by Tara (a 1st fill bourbon barrel) has now matured for a full 16 years.

16-year-old Kilchoman whiskies are still very rare. Last spring, the Kilchomania.com Cask 05/2006 and the Fèis Ìle Release 2022 were the first two 16-year-old Kilchoman bottlings to be released, at the Fèis Ìle 2023 a 16-year-old Oloroso Sherry Butt appeared and a few days ago Kilchoman released its first 16-year-old Limited Release.

This naturally calls for a taste comparison, which the Kilchomania tasting panel is currently working on.
