Kilchoman Bourbon Single Cask 461/2008 for Islay Pipe Band

As most of our readers will know, the Kilchoman distillery sponsors the Islay Pipe Band since 2012. We have reported on the band’s activities several times and visitors to the Kilchoman Open Day at Fèis Ìle will certainly have fond memories of the band’s performances.

The band, founded in 1991, has been seriously competing in pipe band competitions since 2005. It started in the lowest grade of 4B but is now winning prizes in grade 3A. Also, because of the rather long journeys from Islay to the competition venues, it costs a lot of money and the band is therefore very grateful for the support of Kilchoman.

Now Kilchoman has released an exclusive single cask bottling for the Islay Pipe Band. The bottles will be sold exclusively at the distillery’s visitor centre and all proceeds will go to the band.

This is a bottling of a whisky matured for four and a half years in a fresh ex-bourbon barrel.
