Kilchoman Distillery Experience

Under the name Kilchoman Distillery Experience, the distillery is now offering a very special experience to whisky enthusiasts who want to gain a particularly deep insight into whisky production at Kilchoman.

Here is the text of the advertisement:

We are offering you the opportunity to come and work at one of the only distilleries in Scotland that does the whole process from growing the barley on the farm to bottling the malt whisky after maturation.

During your stay you will shadow Malcolm Rennie, the distillery manager for 5 days and get hands on experience of every facet of malt whisky production – from barley to bottling.

Filling
Bottling

The course lasts 5 days Monday to Friday and at the end of the week you will be presented with a certificate and a miniature bottle of the new spirit you have helped create.

First course – Monday 2nd October 2006
Last Course – Monday 11th December 2006 

Available Dates in 2007
First Course – Monday 22nd January 2007
Last Course – Monday 23rd April 2007

The maximum number of people on each course is 2.
Cost : £500 per head
Accommodation : Bridgend Hotel at £50.00 per night B&B

You can either arrange your own accommodation or stay at the Bridgend Hotel where we have negotiated special rates.
