Kilchoman Mezcal Finish Single Cask 827/2012 [Distillery Shop Exclusive]

Since a few days, a new Distillery Shop Exclusive edition is available in the Kilchoman Visitor Centre. This time, one of the still very rare mezcal cask finishings.

Those who can’t make their way to Islay in winter and COVID times now at least have the chance to win the bottle in the current Kilchoman Club competition on the Kilchoman website. If you can correctly answer the question about the filling date of the first cask of Kilchoman whisky in 2005… (in the unlikely event that readers of our site have forgotten this date, we recommend a look at the Kilchoman Timeline 2005).

But back to the whisky. This was matured for 8 years in a bourbon barrel and then finished for 8 months in a mezcal cask and bottled on 14 August 2021 at an alcohol strength of 54.5% abv. The yield was 242 bottles.
