Prior to the release of the distillery’s first whisky on 9.9.2009, a dozen single cask bottlings with Kilchoman distillate matured for a good two years in bourbon casks were released under the title Kilchoman New Spirit matured for over 2 years – “Anticipation” in 2008 and 2009, which – because they were less than three years old – were not yet allowed to bear the title “whisky”. In addition, in the early years of the distillery, a whole series of un-matured New Make releases appeared in miniature bottles.

The bottling listed here was already the 2nd “Anticipation” release for Germany. The Kilchoman distillate was matured for two and a half years in an ex-bourbon cask.
