At the beginning of 2019, Potstill released the first Kilchoman Rum cask finish for Austria. The whisky was first matured for 7 years in a fresh ex-bourbon barrel and then finished for 9 months in a Rum cask from Barbados.

As the Potstill company in Vienna acts both as the Austrian general importer of numerous distilleries, including Kilchoman, but is also a large whisky shop itself, in order to avoid conflicts of interest it has quite often had partial editions of the bottlings it imports for other Austrian shops or whisky clubs provided with a different label at their request or organised joint bottlings quite unbureaucratically.
Thus, many Austrian Kilchoman single cask bottlings exist in several variants (partial editions) with different labels, in the case of the release listed here, there is still a variant for Hirschenbrunner Spirits in Vienna.
