After the Chinese Kilchoman importer Single Malt Club China (SMCC) had already released five Kilchoman single cask bottlings in mid-2023, it filled its annual Kilchoman single cask quota with four more bottlings at the end of the year.

The four bottlings were two further Sauternes wine cask finishes, a further Ruby Port cask finish and an eight-year-old full maturation in a Pedro Ximénez sherry cask.

The Sauternes cask finish listed here is just under 9 years old and therefore almost 2 years younger than the cask no. 37/2013, which was released at the same time. The whisky was first matured for nearly 7 years in an ex-Buffalo Trace bourbon barrel before being finished in a Sauternes wine cask for more than two years.
