Kilchoman Vintage 2007 Release announced

Kilchoman today announced the release of another limited release, the “Vintage 2007” for 7 October 2013. This continues the series of Kilchoman vintage whiskies that began in 2011. With the “Vintage 2006”, Kilchoman presented its first official 5-year-old whisky in 2011; with the “Vintage 2007”, a 6-year-old Kilchoman will now be launched on the market for the first time.

The bottling is a vatting of 35 fresh and refill ex-bourbon casks that were filled in 2007.

According to Kilchoman, the extra year of maturation of the “Vintage 2007” brings through soft cooked fruits, vanilla and caramel on the nose with peat smoke, butterscotch and soft citrus fruits on the palate. There is a long lingering finish with peat smoke and sweetness very evident.

This is a limited edition release of approximately 10,000 bottles worldwide and will retail for £51.60 in the UK.
