New Distillery Shop Exclusive Release: Madeira Finish Single Cask 179/2012

After a Madeira Finish single cask bottling was released for the first time in May this year as a Distillery Shop Exclusive Release, a Madeira Cask Finish is again available for purchase at the Kilchoman Visitor Centre from today, 28 August 2019.

The bottling of cask no. 179/2012 spent 6 years in a 1st Fill Buffalo Trace Bourbon barrel and was then finished in a fresh Madeira hogshead for 16 months. The yield was 258 bottles with an alcohol content of 56.4 %. The retail price is £79.50.

The cask 179/2012 is one of at least eight sister casks (Nos. 178/2012-185/2012), that have been launched in 2019 and 2020 as Single Cask Madeira Finish releases in different countries. Both 1st Fill and 2nd Fill Bourbon barrels, which were all filled on 12.04.2012, were later finished in Madeira hogsheads for different lengths. Here is the complete list:
