At the beginning of 2021, Germany’s largest online whisky retailer Whisky.de released this edition, still very rare at the time, of Ruby Port Quarter Cask Finishings, which Kilchoman had introduced in the 2nd half of 2020.
The whisky was initially matured for almost 7 years in Bourbon Barrel No. 197/2013 and was then transferred to 2 Quarter Casks (1970 and 1971). In the Quarter Cask 1971/2013 listed here, the whisky matured for a further 8 months. (By the way, the sister cask 1970/2013, i.e. the first half of the Bourbon Barrel 197/2013, was bottled for the Canadian market at the end of 2020).
