At the “floating whisky fair” Viking Cinderella Whiskyfair 2019 there was a special Kilchoman experiment to taste and buy: a bourbon barrel that, after 7 years of maturation, was subjected to two Madeira finishings of different lengths: the first bottling, mentioned here, with a Madeira finish of 6 weeks, the 2nd half of the cask with a finishing period of 6 months.

This made for a really interesting comparison of the Madeira finishing of Kilchoman whisky.
