At the beginning of 2016, the US importer ImpEx launched its so-called “Cask Evolution Series”, which was designed to demonstrate the cask maturation of Kilchoman whiskies using different cask types and different ages. As the first edition 01/2016 they presented a whisky that matured for over 4 years in an Oloroso Sherry Hogshead.
