November 2003: In an interview in Walter Schobert’s “Whisky Watch No. 22”, Mark French emphasises that he firmly believes that the distillery will be built in 2004 after two failed attempts.

The newly formed team now includes him and Anthony Wills, whisky scientist James Swan and whisky expert and author Charles MacLean. Sir John MacTaggart, who was already involved with Bruichladdich, could be won as a partner. The money has now been raised and an annual production of 40,000 litres is planned.
